An unforgettable thing

Life is just like a kaleidoscope. It is filled with happiness, sorrow, fortune,horror and so on. But there are always some unforgettable things in which you will find that the true meaning of our life.
At the end of 2007, my hometown—Jiangxi Province encountered the freeze, which had been the heaviest over the past fifty years. Therefore, it was unavoidable to make our life suffer from fierce effects. For instance, not only was the electricity cut off, but also the drinking water was curdled. What was worse, the peasants' crops in the fields were nearly frozen to death, which made their efforts in vain.
At this time, many warm-hearted volunteers and workers across the country gave us an instant hand. It is they who devoted all their energies to rushing to repair our electrical wirings and water pipes to ensure we could recover our normal life from the freeze as soon as possible. What was praise-worthy was that some workers sacrificed their precious lives. At last, owning to their selfless assistance, we succeeded in overcoming the freeze, from which I could learn that unity is strength.
This is what I will never forget.

Life is like a mirror. Your smile at it and it will smile at you. If you are fed up with it, it will be tired of you, too. Smile at it, and then you’ll gain a life full of smiles.

Too many people complain about life. They wish to have a perfect one, which is free from hardship. However, such a life is just an illusion. In fact, life consists of all kinds of difficulties. It’s full of ups and downs. Maybe we aren’t rich and even not healthy. Perhaps we are experiencing a trouble that we think is the worst thing on the earth. However, we have no right to complain. So many people care about us and love us. We are still alive.

It is impossible to avoid all the storms in life. Frustration makes success more beautiful. Separation makes love or friendship more precious. Difficulty makes life more meaning full. Problems are special presents, which are used to decorate our life. Only by living through storms can make me become stronger.

Every day is new. The warm sunshine, beautiful clouds, gentle winds, sweet flowers, lovely birds, and friendly people ---- too many things are worth your smile. Cry, and you’ll cry alone; smile, smile, the world will smile together with you.
