To punish these 12 districts' betray,Capitol demanded each district send one young man and woman to join the hunger games,where they must kill each other and only 1 can come out.Unfortunately,Katniss volunteered to be the tribute to save her younger sister and need to face her benefactor and so called lover-Peeta.With the effort of all the team,they two finally won the game,but to everyone's surprise,they were asked to join the damn game again.24 former winners got together and killed for their lives,but before the evil game was over,District 13 which was not really destroyed saved the rest of the competitors and fought against Capitol.At the end of the war,a huge number of people died including Katniss' sister,so many people changed as well as being told that she was still a toy of power,driving Katniss mad and kill the president of District 13.Katniss got in trouble but still alive,living with Peeta who always suffered from horrible hallucinations.
