It seems some special thing should to be done today .So we must go out before ten o'clock and arrive in the destination at ten o'clock this morning .
we don't know what we should do until my teacher and the children start out to the nuring home .we know that today we will make the children and the old men interact and communicate .my teacher tell me every month a class childern will communicate with the old man on turn .today is our turn .so we must go and can't take our children to the park .
After arriving the nuring home ,we play in the exchange center .all the children who was divided into three section with some toys and sit down on the floor .the old man sitting at the wheel also become a circular .we and the children sit in the center of the circular .
in the beginning ,the children are very shamed ,then we inspire constently the childen to take the toys and story books to talk or communicate with the old men .at last all the children are lively and can play with the old men .
i think it 's a great activity ,the children can learn from the old men to communicate and share .we also sing some songs ,the old men are all very happy .for me ,it 's a very important experience .i never do such thing .so i hope i can contact with the stranger in the future .
After the activity ,we go back to the kindergarten .there is lots time this afternoon ,so the teacher tell me to do my activities with the childern .
today i prepare two activities ,the first matching game ,i do not well because i am busy and the children are noisy and go arond .all that make me distact .
the another game i take the childern to do the art game designed by me .i feel very well ,because it is one by one ,i can teache the children lead them with heart
at last my teachers give me some suggestions and point the advantages ,disadvantages .thank you .Looking foward to the next week ,I will do better than this
Because we have some special things to do today, we have to get out the door before ten and must arrive at the destination at ten in the morning. At that time, we still wasn’t sure what we were going to do, until later on when my teacher brought our class and another class with her and entered the nursing home, I realized what we are supposed to do today; to let the children interact with the elders. My teacher told me that their Kindergarten classes take turns to come to the nursing home to interact with the elders. And it’s our class’ and another class’ turn today, so we have to go and because of that we didn’t have time to bring the kids to play at the park.
After entering the nursing home, we were brought to the center of interaction from within. We brought with us some todays (plushies, story books and legos), divided into three areas, letting the children sit at each areas and play. The staff at the nursing home formed a circle with the elders who are on wheelchairs. Along with the kids, my teacher and I sat in the middle. Later on, we kept encouraging the children to bring the toys or books with them and interact with the grandparents. The children were very shy at first, but after awhile, they became active and began to grab the toys with them and interact with the elders. The elders were very content. I think this is a really awesome activity, the children can learn how to communicate and listen through their interactions with the elders, and also learn what sharing is. After that, together, we sang a lot of songs for the elders and they were very happy. For myself, this is a very intrigued experience, because I have never done something like this before. I hope there are more similar chances like this, to interact with strangers.
When the activity ended, we headed back to the school. Because there are a lot of time in the afternoon, my teacher let the children do the activities I designed. We did a total of two activities today. The first one: matching game. I didn’t think I did very well in this one, because I was a bit nervous and I was distracted due to some children who were fighting and running around. I was unable to concentrate on doing well in my activity.
Then, after completing the science activity, I let the kids to have some free time (不用free play). One by one, I led the kids through the art activity that I designed. I think I did better on this one compared to the last. Because it was one on one (这里不用one by one), I can concentrate better thus teach the kids and guide them.
After that, my teacher gave me some feedbacks on my activities. I thank them for their suggestions and encouragement. I hope I can do even better next week.
