Spring Festival and Christmas day

The name Christmas is short for “Christ’s Mass,’’ A Mass is a kind of church service. Christmas is a religious festival. It is the day we celebrate as the birthday of Jesus. There are special Christmas services in Christian churches all over the world. But many of the festivities of Christmas do not have anything to do with religion. Exchanging gifts and sending Christmas cards are modern ways of ** the Christmas season merry.

Chritmas is the day that Jesus Christ was born. people in the world celebrate and worship this day in his honor. The santa claus will come out and send presents for children. Christmas cards and decorated trees are all over the place. The carolling of Christmas songs echo through the air. I am not a Chirstian, but I also enjoy the atmosphere of Chrismas. I wish everybody have a merry Chirismas.

Far and away the most important holiday in China is Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year. To the Chinese people it is as important as Christmas to people in the West. the dates for this annual celebration are determined by the lunar calendar rather than the GREgorian calendar, so the timing of the holiday varies from late January to early February.
To the ordinary Chinese, the festival actually begins on the eve of the lunar New Year’s Day and ends on the fifth day of the first month of the lunar calendar. But the 15th of the first month, which normally is called the Lantern Festival, means the official end of the Spring Festival in many parts of the country.

Spring Festival is the most importantand popular festival in China.Before Spring Festival ,the people usually clean and decorate their houses.And they go to the Flower Fairs to buy some flowers.During Spring Festival ,the adults usually give lucky money to children.People often get together and have a big meal.Some people eat dumpling for dinner.

圣诞节的由来是 "**的弥撒,"， 一次弥撒是一种种类的教堂礼拜。圣诞节是一个宗教节日。这一天，我们作为庆祝耶稣的生日。在**教徒教堂中在全世界有特殊圣诞节服务.但是很多圣诞节的节日没有随着和宗教有关任何事情.圣诞节季节**的现代方式是交换礼物和寄送圣诞卡欢乐.

圣诞是一天耶稣**诞生了。人在世界上庆祝和礼拜这一天，在他的荣誉。圣诞老人会出来，并送礼物给儿童。圣诞贺卡和装饰树木是任何其他地方。该carolling(不懂)的圣诞歌曲回声透过空气。我不是一个chirstian (不懂)，但我也享受圣诞的气氛。我想大家有一个快乐圣诞节 。

到目前为止，最重要的节日，在中国是一个春节，也被称为中国新年的开始。对中国人民它象圣诞节对西方人一样，日期为这项一年一度的庆祝活动是由农历而不是公历，所以时间的假期不同，从1月下旬至2月上旬。对于一般中国人来说，节日其实是开始于除夕新年第一天结束了第五天的第一个月的农历。但15日的第一个月，通常被称为元宵节，意味着正式结束春节，在许多国家的部份。

在中国春节是最重要流行节日.在春节之前，人们通常清洁和装修房间.还有他们到花卉展览会，以购买一些花.在春节的时候，大人通常给小孩红包.人们经常聚在一起，吃一顿大餐。许多人晚餐吃饺子。

春节是中国传统节日里最重要的节日，它预示着新的一年开始，中国各地方、各民族都有不同的庆祝方式和方法，但不管是用什么方式庆祝，其喻意大体上是一致的--风调雨顺、国泰民安。
春节是家人团聚的日子，不论身在何地都要回到亲人身边，当然春节里最高兴的属小辈们，有吃、有玩、还有〃红包〃拿！

每年的12月25日，是基督教徒纪念耶稣诞生的日子，称为圣诞节。从12月24日于翌年1月6日为圣诞节节期。节日期间，各国基督教徒都举行隆重的纪念仪式。圣诞节本来是基督教徒的节日，由于人们格外重视，它便成为一个全民性的节日，是西方国家一年中最盛大的节日，可以和新年相提并论，类似我国过春节。

西方的圣诞节历史悠久，除了是一个年终的庆祝仪式也有很浓厚的宗教意味。本身Christmas中的Christ就是基督教中耶稣（Jesus Christ）的名字。Christmas本来的含义就是圣人耶稣诞生的日子。
中国的春节历史就更加悠久了，春节也就是所谓的过年，年在古文记载的神话中是一种非常可怕的怪兽，在春节这一天从深山中冲出为非作歹。所以春节这一天大家都会供奉祭祀来平息怪兽的怒火。同时据说鞭炮的发明也是因为这个，因为巨大的声响会惊跑怪兽。

The Spring Festival is a traditional Chinese festival. People will refer to the clock in the 12 to be time to celebrate the New Year. People will eat dumplings. A family gatherings. Children who will be age neutralizing money. People will firecrackers to greet the new year's arrival.
Christmas is a Western festival. Visit fireworks to celebrate the arrival of the new year!
春节是中国的传统节日.人们会在时钟指在12的时候庆祝新年得到来.人们会吃饺子.有家庭聚会.小孩子们还会得到压岁钱.人们会放鞭炮迎接新的一年的到来.
