Dear Jack,
You asked me about the similarities between the western festival Easter Day and Chinese festival Tomb Sweeping Day. In my opinion, The similarities between these two festivals are like this:Firstly, they both take place in spring. Tomb Sweeping Day falls on April 5 or 6. And Easter Day falls on a Sunday between March 22 and April 25.Secondly, they are both held to honor the dead.
However, the ways to hold the festivals are different. During Tomb Sweeping Day, people in China go to the tombs to offer sacrifices. It is a time for remembering loved ones who have departed. People visit their ancestors' graves to sweep away the dirt. But On Easter Day, western people hold religious activities to honor the rebirth of Jesus Christ . Easter Day is famous for the Easter Bunny and Easter eggs or Easter Lily.
All the best wishes,
Yours,
Li Hua
