通过对我院20年间死亡教职工回顾分析发现,由心理、社会因素所致的心身疾病的发病率及死亡率明显增多,研究表明:目前对人类健康和生命构成严重威胁的主要因素已不再是病毒、细菌等生物所致的传染病,而是由明显的心理、社会因素所造成的高血压、心脑血管疾病、癌症等.由此转变医学模式,加强身心健康教育、减少中青年教师的早衰,已成为当务之急.

二 医学模式：（medical model, pattern）:由于文化体系和医学目的不同，在医学理论教学与临床实践中所形成的各自不同的风格、理念与规范。医学模式的讨论是出现在西医引入国内以后，无论从不同角度观察，中、西医的医学模式均有区别。例如传统医学属于生命医学、人类医学、生态医学、健康医学的范畴；而生物医学则属于循证医学、疾病医学、理化医学、对抗医学的范畴。
