Faced with the question whether it is worthwhile to spend time learning english,many college students would probably shake their heads,seeing it as a waste of valuable time.However,I will give an affirmative answer without hestitation,beacuse english as a tool can apparently benefit us in many ways.
To begin with,As economic globalization continues to develop,english has become a worldwide way of communication.It is widely used in international trade,business negotiation,international conference,to name just a few.Therefore,we must improve our english level and thus adapt to the trend of social progress.
Besides,mastering a foreign language help us keep up with the development at home and abroad through newspaper,magazines,websites which issue in it.Both official websites and TV station offer bilingual languages.Generally,english is learned from primary school to university in China.Government pay great attention to english and this serves to show the importance of english.
To sum up,english exist in every aspects of our daily lives and it can benefit us tremendously.

The Problem of Learing English
Recently it has a heated discussion about learning English.Some people think that we should learn English.The opponents claim that learning English is bad.
First of all,learning English is good for our people to communicate with the foreigners.English is so popular that many people want to acquire it.Further more,learning English can make our country involve in the whole world.We should keep up with the trend so we can develop rapidly.Last but not the least,if we acquire English,we can obtain an useful technique to make a living.Since many units want to coordinate with the foreign entrepreneurs,they want their employees to learn English.
I believe that learning English is good for everyone.The world is developing fast.We should adapt ourselves with the trend.
