哥特最大的特点就是阴暗个人认为纯正的哥特金属并不多 Type O Negative算是纯正的哥特金属乐队 Moonspell的第二张专辑也是十分的哥特其余一些混杂别的风格的有混杂Doom Metal的早期的Paradise Lost和My Dying Bride 哥特摇滚的代表乐队无法是内些 Bauhaus, The Sisters of Mercy, Fields of Nephlim, The Mission, Clan of Xymox, Christian Death等等新哥特摇滚的代表乐队有London After Midnight, Faith and the Muse, Ikon等等
