Five Hundred Times

In the traffic court of a large mid-western city, a young lady was brought before the judge to answer a ticket given her for driving through a red light. She explained to his honor that she was a school teacher and requested an immediate disposal of her case in order that she might hasten on to her classes. A wild gleam came into the judge's eye. "You are a school teacher, eh?" said he. "Madam, I shall realize my lifelong ambition. Sit down at that table and write 'I went through a red light' five hundred times."

一架架轰炸机盘旋在中国领土上空，一颗颗炸弹降落在了上海的火车南站。一声声悲痛的哭声四处漫延开来，黑暗弥漫着整个上海的天空。

　　一架架轰炸机像饥饿的猛兽一般扑来，瞬间，整个火车站变成了废墟，尸横遍地，血流成河，惨不忍睹。
　　这时，一位三、四岁的小男孩一个人孤零零的坐在火车的铁轨上，四周硝烟四起，地上满是炸弹炸下来的瓦片。他身上伤痕累累，衣服也破了，他的手中一直抱着一只玩具狗娃娃。这时，又一批轰炸机又来了，它们再一次在中国的领土上狂轰滥炸。小男孩吓坏了，炸弹又一次在小男孩身边爆炸，他那心裂肺的哭喊声，让人心痛。
　　小男孩的父母去哪能了呢？他们为了保护小男孩，被罪恶的子弹埋在了废墟底下。那时，小男孩的爸爸妈妈正抱着他在人群中穿梭。这时，天空上突然出现了一架升降机，人群顿时沸腾起来，可他们哪是炸弹和子弹的对手呀。小男孩的父母也一样，怀中的小男孩也突然大哭大闹，害怕的直往妈妈怀里挤。突然一颗子弹朝他们飞来，小男孩的爸爸妈妈直往前跑。就在炸弹快要爆炸时，他们将小男孩放在一片大瓦片上，向前推，小男孩被带到了安全的地方，而他的父母却被埋在了废墟下。停止吧，战争，停止吧！让和平之神，永驻人间。
